This budget find ticks all the boxes for a really good buy. A good jumpsuit is something I keep returning to. In fact, overalls and loose fitting dresses, think caftan dresses and coat ditto are my top picks for varm summer days.

That also holds true for the sand colour, a perfect summer neutral that always been a summer staple of mine. And this season it’s the hottest thing according to the catwalk trends, so easier than ever to find.

The eco cotton is super soft without being too thin or too PJ looking.

The leather sandals are old favourite retainers from Birkenstock. This model with braided straps is unfortunately no longer in production. Scarf from the late 1990s by Emilio Pucci. Similar styles always available.

The big bag is hand made, each one intricately twisted and knotted by fair trade artisans in a remote rural community of Bangladesh. The jute macrame techniques has a 1970’s style and vibe. So it’s name was suitable inspired by singer and feminist Carly Simon.

Boilersuit, £40, Monki. Bag, Carly, $120, The Dharmadoor. (See European stockists on their website.)

P.s. Photos taken in Marrakesh where we rented a dreamy villa, a so called riad. More from Marrakesh soon..! D.s.
